Theresa was born in Los Angeles’ Queen of Angels Hospital during the turbulent 1960’s. She and her parents moved to Kauai, Hawaii when she was a toddler to be near her father’s family, and where her brother Ron was born. The young family then packed up their household and moved to a patch of old growth forest called Bonney Lake, Washington. Theresa has fond memories of playing in the woods behind her house for hours, and summers filled with camping excursions, fishing trips, and visits from relatives who were left behind in the hot and smoggy L.A. basin.
Theresa is an alumna of Fairhaven College, Western Washington University in Bellingham. She graduated with a self-designed Bachelor of Arts degree in Cross-Cultural Studies and Dramatic Arts, with an emphasis in playwriting and directing. She has had a lifelong love affair with words and considers writing and reading among her passions. Theresa’s other love affair is with her husband of nearly 20 years, Michael. The couple resides in McKinney, Texas with their two schnauzers and family nearby. Theresa and Michael are employed by Ericsson, supporting the company’s North American operations. Free time finds the couple getting acquainted with, and exploring, their newly adopted home state of Texas.
